This 24 month project will see you work with senior management and teams across the business and have the support of an outstanding multi-disciplinary academic team from Leeds Beckett University to:

• Undertake strategic needs analysis of current and prospective clients
• Explore new & diversified sales channels, developing strategic relationships to facilitate new clients and business
• Appraising, evaluating and devising entry strategies to new European and global markets
• Conduct an HR audit of the business – identifying appropriate solutions for talent management and succession planning

The role will provide the post-holder with wide-ranging and senior level experience, reporting at director level and working with people across the business.

Project description

We need YOU to come on board and drive a strategic development project at Colchester Machine Tools, an established, ambitious, forward-thinking business. This is a Management Knowledge Transfer Project (mKTP).
You will focus on two key challenges – to optimise strategic marketing and decision-making, underpinned by improved resource and talent management, leading to long-term embedded change and sustainable growth.

Colchester Machine Tools is a modern, vibrant business based in Elland, West Yorkshire, supplying a very traditional component of the manufacturing industry – machine tools. A Bachelor’s degree (preferably 2.1 or higher) in one of the following areas: Marketing, Business Management; Business Management & Leadership or Human Resource Management and Leadership.
