Job description
An exciting opportunity has become available to work full time on a 3-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to develop an Adaptive Multiband Metamaterial Antenna Frontend for Ultra-low Power 5G/Wi-Fi 6/6E/7/HaLow Applications.
Employed and supported by an academic team from the University, you will work both from home and at SmOp Cleantech’s premises in Manchester.
Application requirements:
Knowledge of fundamental components of electronic circuit systems:
impedance matching, rectifying circuits, signal processing etc.
Knowledge of standard mathematical techniques for electronic engineering,
signal analysis, signal propagation, signal modulation etc.
Knowledge of RF data communication protocols (NFC/RFID, WLAN, WNAN, WWAN),
Multi-radio standards / protocols; and multi-radio networks convergence
characterisation.
Experience of RF subsystems design, modelling, simulation, fabrication,
integration and characterisation.
Knowledge of RF technologies and architectures, such as multi-radio
5G/Wi-Fi6/6E/7/HaLow and antenna design topologies (e.g., multiple input
multiple output); and beamforming optimisation algorithms.
Knowledge of energy harvesting systems (Energy types; harvesting methods;
energy sources; energy collecting distances; harvesting performance; power
conversion efficiency; and application).
Knowledge of computer programming languages such as C/C++/Python and Java
for embedded systems integration and interfacing.
