Do you hold a PhD in experimental Physics, Materials Science or a closely related discipline? Do you have expertise in nanoparticle characterisation, including experience in the manufacture and evaluation of Lateral Flow Tests? Would you like to launch your career in industry?

The University of Leeds has an opportunity for you to ‘fast track’ your career in industry by managing a project to develop an enhanced gold nanoparticle detection system for more accurate and rapid lateral flow testing for a range of novel diagnostics. Through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), you will be working in collaboration with one of the world’s leading healthcare diagnostic companies, SureScreen Diagnostics Ltd., and the prestigious Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Leeds.

As a KTP Associate, you will be expected to manage this project and effectively transfer knowledge from the academic knowledge base at The University of Leeds to SureScreen Diagnostics Ltd. with the aim of developing a novel conjugate manufacture process and expanding capabilities for Lateral Flow Test in diagnostic testing. You will be working with academics at the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences and the Research and Development Team at SureScreen Diagnostics Ltd. where you will have access to cutting-edge research resources and scientific expertise to assist you in building an enhanced and futureproof gold nanoparticle-based detection platform.
