Job description

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work both with one of the fastest growing CRO businesses in Scotland and the world-renowned Dundee Centre for Targeted Protein Degradation, operating at the interface of commercial development and cutting-edge scientific research.
The role will be funded for a total of 28 months and will be based mainly within BioAscent at their drug discovery research facility in Newhouse, Scotland, with significant time also spent within the labs of the University of Dundee Centre for Targeted Protein Degradation.

Your priorities will include:

* Design and synthesis of reagents required for library synthesis
* Development of high-throughput synthetic methods
* Transfer of methodologies from academic setting into business partner laboratories
* Driving smooth management of the overall project and implementation of plans in consultation
with business and academic supervisors
* Contribute positively as an embedded member of both the business and academic bases.

Project description

This project will aim to generate new synthetic protocols for the use of high-throughput chemistry for drug discovery. Specifically, we will aim to innovate in the use of cutting-edge synthetic methodologies and apply them to the plate-based synthesis of complex targeted protein degrader molecules.
