Job description

As a KTP Associate, you will mainly be based at OTM Servo Mechanism Ltd at Egham, Surrey but will work in conjunction with Centre for Aeronautics located in the School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing, based at Cranfield, Bedfordshire.

The aim of the KTP is to deliver a novel in-house modular flight control system that includes OTM’s actuators.

You will lead the implementation of a flight control computer. This will include developing knowledge on the flight control avionics standards and requirements. You will also test practical flight control algorithms with simulation models and implement these into a modular flight control computer that complies with industry standards, as well as continue development of a hardware-in-the-loop system. This will involve design and development of flight control computer electronics and PCB design.

This KTP partnership is formed of Cranfield University and OTM Servo Mechanism Ltd.

This partnership received financial support from the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) programme.
