The University of Leeds has an excellent opportunity for you to ‘fast-track’ your career
in industry by leading a high-profile, strategically important project from start to
completion. Through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), you will work in
partnership with Scaled Insights in conjunction with the Faculty of Engineering and
Physical Sciences at the University of Leeds to develop a leading-edge
personalisation insights platform (PIP) using AI to help determine the use of
behavioural interventions in the healthcare sector.
Scaled Insights is a forward-thinking and innovative company aiming to deliver more
effective behavioural healthcare through new and exciting uses of AI. Scaled Insights
has already developed and patented an AI tool that underpins the company’s strategic
objectives and as a KTP Associate working with them you will be part of a bold and
exciting vision to apply state-of-the-art AI methods to the already existing PIP product.
The project will look to develop such methods so the product can be applied to different
domains and Scaled Insights is able to expand and access new markets outside of the
healthcare industry.
Working with the University of Leeds you will have access to first class computer
facilities where you will be able to conduct multi-stage experiments with cutting-edge
equipment and insight from academics with vast experience in Computer Science.

Project description

To develop and bring to market a personalisation insights platform (PIP) to inform the design of personalised behavioural interventions in healthcare using Artificial Intelligence.

About the business

Scaled Insights started with IMC's introduction to IBM's fledgling Watson Solutions. IMC became IBM Watson's first and Lead Partner for Canada and the Caribbean. We quickly learned the power of Watson AI and specifically the Personality Insights Engines that Watson contained. This began an exciting journey that has taken several years and millions of dollars as we've worked with both the IBM Team as well as our own group of PhDs, Data Scientists, Psychologists, Linguists and other Industry Experts to design our own AI solution, which we call "Behavioural AI". Behavioural AI can reduce the language that all humans produce to communicate with each other down to personality profiles that include "Big Five" personality attributes as well as "Thinking Styles". These define how people see the world and determines how people receive and process information to make choices influence behaviour.
