You will hold a PhD (or have equivalent experience) in the field; and work on the project will require publication of results, travelling to conferences and actively engaging with all the project partners

Project description

We are inviting applications for a KTP Associate to work with Prof Thomas Hain and Dr Anton Ragni at The University of Sheffield and ZOO Digital PLC, an innovative international media localisation company with its research and development centre in Sheffield. You will be playing a key role in developing the next generation of automatic spoken media localisation
approaches. Using your skills and experience in speech technology and machine learning you will be developing novel deep learning approaches to convert voices of professional adult voice actors into child voices. This is an opportunity to make a real change in the industry of localising media content aimed at children and to support ZOO’s promise to make globalising
media content smarter, easier, and better. You will be working with content from some of the world’s leading entertainment content producers.

About the business

ZOO Digital has been working in the field of software tools for digital media production since 2002. Over the past 14 years the company’s R&D staff, based in its offices in Sheffield, have become experts in the processes involved in creating digital video products, initially for DVD-Video and Blu-ray, and now for packages for streaming video on demand platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Apple and Disney.
