An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Chemistry Graduate to work closely with Food Attraction Ltd – a well-established food supply company based in Leicester – and develop new production processes to extend the shelf-life of food products (whilst maintaining product integrity). This position is a key role within a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) – a collaborative project between Food Attraction Ltd and the University of Leicester.

Project description

You will be responsible for leading and delivering a challenging and strategic R&D project that directly impacts the business, with the opportunity to be a champion of real change.

You will receive input and support from an academic team with specialist knowledge and experience relevant to the project.

We will provide a £4,000 training budget that is tailored to your personal development needs, along with two free residential management training courses at the beginning of the project.

You will have the opportunity to deliver high impact outcomes within a business, whilst learning at the same time – a significant contribution to your long-term career progression.

About the business

Food Attraction Ltd is a food manufacturer, traditionally focussed on supplying Indian ethnic food to restaurant chains & food outlets. Two years ago, Food Attraction established their own brand of 'Jake & Nayns' (J&N) street food: wraps, naansters & burritos sold to major retailers. The firm has won a clutch of awards including 'Family-Owned Business of the Year' at the Amazon Growing Business Awards 2018, the 2019 Institute of Grocery Distribution Small Business Award & the British Sandwich & Food to Go 2020 Marketing Award
