Job description

The University of Nottingham is inviting applications for a researcher to join an exciting collaboration with Whetman Plants International Ltd based in Hampreston, Wimborne, Dorset. You will have the unique opportunity to take a central role in the development of in house expertise to allow the propagation of trees using cuttings to speed up time to market and meet increasing demand. The project will have 2 main areas of focus: understanding the needs of trees and the way that they differ across species and then testing a pharmaceutical solution to these needs.

Project description

As a people orientated individual you will be working collaboratively with team members from Whetman’s and the University of Nottingham. To conduct research on this project which is to expand the product range offered by Whetman Plants International Limited to include native and overseas trees using novel propagation methods. This project aims to allow propagation of trees and shrubs using cuttings to speed up time to market.
