Project description
The research will centre on the topic of production process perfection, a metric which every Rolls-Royce Motor Cars employee is passionate about, and which is core to the brand values.
The PhD project aims to leverage advanced analytics and machine learning to identify the key influencers of assembly inefficiencies and determine which measures can be taken to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s rigorous control processes. The project is expected to advance data science methodology within the field of bespoke super-luxury automotive manufacturing.
The candidate will be based at the home of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Goodwood, working together with the Assembly team, under the supervision of the Data Science team and the Academic Supervisor of the PhD. The expectation is that the PhD will take circa 3 years to complete. Cars.
