Job description
This role is an exciting opportunity for a PhD qualified graduate to take on a strategic project with the support of mentors from RL Capital Ltd, Aston University and Innovate UK. Associate will be responsible for development of a novel, real-time wheel alignment fault detection system (AutoAlign for cars & vans) to deliver accurate fault detection of wheel misalignment.
Candidate Profile:
The Associate will be educated to PhD level with a first degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering, with a PhD in a data science related field.
The Associate will require experience in data analytics, particularly in Machine Learning. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge/ experience of signal processing and the following relevant skills:
– Numerical, machine learning and signal processing skills in software such as MATLAB and Python.
– Experience of supervised and supervised machine learning techniques is desirable.
– Knowledge/ understanding of operation of embedded systems/ IOT devices, inertia MEMS sensors and dynamics would be a distinct advantage.
– Capability to work both independently and collaboratively and have a proven track record of effective interaction with colleagues in industry and academia.
– Good project management skills are required with the ability to develop work plans under his/her own initiative and work to deadlines.
