Job description
This role is an exciting opportunity for candidates qualified to PhD or Master’s level, preferably with industrial experience in the Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field with a background in thermal and fluid modelling and energy management. They will need to be able to demonstrate excellent engineering design skills, with experience of numerical thermal and dynamic fluid flow (CFD) modelling.
Project description
This KTP project aims to develop state-of-the-art energy efficient aluminum recycling systems, which meet evolving environmental regulations to enable Mechatherm to develop robust optimisation strategies to generate a range of cost and energy-efficient aluminium recycling systems to take to market, supporting business growth in this growing market.

Mechatherm's core business is the design and supply of capital equipment and services to the aluminium Industry. It specialises in solutions tailored to each client's specific requirements on various size projects ranging from service agreements and existing equipment upgrades to multi-million-pound turnkey projects.
