Project description
This project will enable Advanced Infrastructure to enhance current, and develop new, services to improve energy modelling. The Associate will have the opportunity to work at a strategic level within the organisation with the support of an industrial supervisor from AITL, and the academic team from LSBU. The academic team comprises Professor Sandra Dudley and a team of Research Associates including Dr Robert Brown.

Master's degree with industry experience in a relevant subject area, including Electronic and Power Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics. PhD (or about to be awarded) is desirable. Demonstrable and appropriate knowledge and experience of load flow analysis principles, and experience with at least one open-source tool for implementing them, such as OpenDSS, GridLAB-D, or Matpower. Strong IT skills and ability to utilise a variety of software with demonstrable expertise in programming languages such as Python, C++ or MATLAB. Experience integrating software systems and modelling frameworks across different domains.
